Why We Sell?

Hello, this is Masoud and Rose Ramandi. Today, we want to share with you why we charge for some of our teachings.

Before we dive in, let us clarify: this is not an explanation to debate with anyone or convince you of anything. But over the past several years of being in full-time ministry, we’ve realized there are genuine people who love our teachings and ministry but may not fully understand this aspect of what we do, as it’s uncommon in mainstream Christianity.

If that’s you, please keep reading.

First, let us remind you that the majority of our teachings are available free of charge. If you’ve visited our YouTube channel, you’ll know we have over 600 video lessons available for anyone serious about growing in Christ—and we consistently add at least one new video every week.

In addition to YouTube, we also offer podcasts, free eBooks, live trainings, conferences, webinars, and daily posts in our Facebook group. With all these free resources, there’s no shortage of material to help you grow in Christ.

And NO...

We don’t reserve our “best” teachings for our paid courses!

Every teaching we produce, whether free or paid, is of the highest quality because it is led by the Spirit and rooted in the Word. Our free teachings are more than enough for you to know Christ. Paid courses are simply expanded versions of our free materials, organized and categorized for easier access.

Now A Bit About Our Story:

In January 2017, we both left our full-time professional jobs to start a full-time ministry. We had no church, ministry, or consistent support or donations to sustain us in full-time ministry. All we had was a YouTube channel with just 85 subscribers!

But we felt called to take this leap of faith.

We started to record free teachings for both our English and Iranian YouTube channels every week. We held Bible study groups in our home and spent countless hours studying the Bible—sometimes up to 18 hours a day.

But... That decision of leaving our jobs behind for full-time ministry took us down an unexpected path.

We used up all our savings, maxed out our credit cards, took on loans, and were left with a significant amount of debt by 2020. During those years, we tried to connect with churches and ministries, but they didn't want us to teach because they didn’t agree with our message.

However we were invited by a couple of small churches, which we appreciated it, but we soon realized we couldn’t share the revelations the Lord had given us under the authority of another church or ministry. We were either told, "Don’t say this or that" or after the sermons, there arose "arguments and disagreements".

That was when we realized if we wanted to teach without compromise, we needed to do it independently of any church or ministry.

That decision brought us to...

...the brink of homelessness in 2020!

By August 2020, we reached a breaking point. We couldn’t pay our rent or our basic living expenses. We needed to find jobs. So We began sending out resumes daily, knowing that going back to full-time jobs would end our full-time ministry. But to our surprise, no one called to offer us jobs—it was during the pandemic though. At first, we were disappointed, but soon after, things began to shift.

We then had a defining moment:
We realized we needed two things to be able to continue teaching our revelations: TIME and MONEY

But the problem was...

1. Going back to work would give us money but no time.
2. Staying home would give us time but no money.

After months of prayer and struggle, the answer became clear: We needed to do something different, something most churches hadn’t done before.

The thing is...

Every week in churches, a donation bucket is passed around during services. People—some from generous hearts and others out of obligation—contribute money. This money goes toward covering the pastor’s living expenses, utilities, and other costs, ensuring that another church service can happen the following week.

Sadly, many pastors have to work additional jobs during the week because the donations aren’t sufficient to sustain them. Others, thankfully, can dedicate their time fully to study and prayer (Hopefully).

And those who give donations week after week receive, in return, one teaching or sermon per week (whether good or bad—God is the ultimate judge) and some fellowship. This model has been the norm for generations.

We’re not here to say this model is right or wrong. However, it’s worth noting that many people accept this "donation-only" approach to ministry but resist the idea of receiving more value in exchange for their contributions.

When we decided to sell courses, we knew we were doing something different.

Some even suggested we should rephrase our website pages to say as a "donation amount of..." instead of saying "selling amount of..." to make it more appealing.

But we refuse to manipulate anyone with clever wording!

No, if you choose to buy our courses, we will give you value in return.

BUT...whether you see it as supporting us or consider it a donation, that’s entirely up to you.

Running a full-time ministry is expensive (we, in fact, run two full-time ministries, also teaching the Farsi-speaking church), and we’ve chosen to meet those costs by selling courses rather than "passing the basket" (sort of speak) at the end of every teaching or working in secular jobs.

That said, we still have a donation button on our website for those who feel led to give in that way rather than purchasing a course.

We are grateful for...

...those who have purchased all of our courses and, on top of that, give monthly donations!
Because they believe in what we’re doing.

Truly, it’s because of these people that we’re able to continue and provide free teachings for everyone to enjoy!

So whenever you’re watching any free teachings, know that someone else has made that possible for you. So Be thankful!

Unfortunately, not everyone sees it this way. Some have called us false teachers, robbers, and thieves, missing the bigger picture.

We are told many time:

Why don't you trust God for your expenses?

We are! We're trusting God in the ways we know and understand. However, if anyone believes trusting God means leaving your job, start a full-time ministry, not earning money, or avoiding selling anything, perhaps it’s their turn to live out what they believe others should do, rather than imposing their beliefs on others, leading to accusation.

BUT If you’ve read this far and still disagree with selling courses because verses like “freely you have received, freely give” come to mind, we kindly ask you to leave what we do—and the way we do it—to God.

Instead, focus on the hundreds of hours of free teachings available to help you grow in Christ. That’s what’s important.

Whether you choose to give a donation or not, buy a course or not, Christ is revealed to you in every teaching we put out there—so enjoy them!

We hope that what we’ve shared here brings clarity and sheds some light.

Blessings to you,
